Amanda Clayman listens carefully to her clients, helping them keep their emotions under control and stay focused on successful results. Ms. Clayman takes a firm position while protecting clients’ interests, and relies on creative strategy and savvy communication skills to aggressively resolve challenging issues. Ms. Clayman has experience working on complicated high net worth cases, custody disputes, international matters and complex pre- and post-nuptial agreements.
Ms. Clayman was recently named a “Best Lawyer” by U.S. News & World Report and also designated a top family law practitioner in Illinois by the Leading Lawyers Network. She is also a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.
Ms. Clayman’s impressive legal career began at one of Arizona’s preeminent law firms, Brown & Bain, now known as Perkins Coie, where she practiced civil litigation for many of the country’s largest companies. Clayman then joined international law firm McDermott Will & Emery as an associate in the trial department. In 2001, Ms. Clayman continued building her now highly respected matrimonial law practice at Berger Schatz, where she was named a partner in January 2004. She joined Katz & Stefani as a partner at the firm’s 2008 inception.
